Our mission and vision

What does Psyched Aruba stand for, and how we would like to achieve this? Our core values center on compassion, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity, providing care that is evidence-based and deeply human. We believe in lifelong learning, collaboration, and accessibility, empowering both clients and professionals to grow within a supportive and connected community.

What do we aim to achieve?
Our mission is to enhance the mental health of children, youth, adults, and seniors by providing licensed, high-quality psychological care,  including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. In addition, we are committed to contributing on a social level by sharing and promoting psychological knowledge. We aim to support the development of aspiring psychologists and therapists, while also bringing knowledge and insight to those working within the psychological and mental health sector, as well as to the broader community through education and collaboration.

How do we plan to achieve this?
To achieve this, we rely on three strategic pillars:
  1. Quality Mental Health Care:
At Psyched Aruba, your care begins with what matters most: you. We use evidence-based methods and a matched-care approach, working together through shared decision-making so that every step feels right for you. Our sessions take place in a safe, respectful, and confidential setting, using the latest knowledge and guided by genuine human connection. When helpful, and only with your consent, we collaborate with other professionals such as general practitioners, creating a circle of care that supports your well-being from all sides.

  2. Social Contribution: We practice with cultural sensitivity, honoring each client’s background, values, and language preferences. At the same time embracing our Aruban spirit of warmth, welcome, and helpfulness that naturally shapes the way we care. Beyond the therapy room, we aim to raise awareness of mental health across our community through social media, radio, television, blogs, and written articles. You can follow our reflections and updates on our Psyched Aruba Facebook page. We also value research and reflection, contributing to the growing field of psychological science and helping shape a more informed and compassionate society.

  3. Academy: Worldwide, there is a growing need for skilled healthcare professionals, and our community is no exception. Many who seek mental health support face long waiting times, placing pressure on both clients and the healthcare system.
At Psyched Aruba, we believe everyone deserves help when it’s needed most. Through our Academy, we contribute to the development of pre- and postgraduate psychologists, as well as all professionals who encounter mental health challenges in their work. We offer training and education that connect knowledge and practice under expert guidance, helping build a stronger, more qualified network of mental health professionals across Aruba and the wider Caribbean.

Our mission and vision, strategic pillars and core values are aimed at continually improving the mental healthcare of individuals and our society as a whole, on time, when it's needed the most.
